Coastal Korea began from a simple observation: Singapore travelers seeking authentic Korean experiences often found themselves following crowded tourist paths in Seoul, missing the rich coastal culture that defines much of Korean life. As someone who grew up between Singapore and Busan, I recognized an opportunity to bridge this gap.

Founded in 2018, we started with small groups exploring Busan's beaches and markets. What set us apart was not just showing people where to go, but helping them understand why these places matter to local communities. We connected travelers with family-run restaurants where recipes have passed through generations, guided them through neighborhoods where maritime heritage shapes daily life, and created space for genuine cultural exchange.
